In collaboration with the City Council of Barcelona, this mural project at Farigola School involved students in a participatory creative process.
The scope of the project included leading a workshop with students, where they were actively engaged in brainstorming ideas for the mural’s design. The workshop also included an introduction to muralism history, and hands-on practice with spray paints, providing students with the skills to contribute directly to the artwork’s final design.
The mural itself was created based on the students’ ideas
and input, that reflect their creativity and energy. By involving the students, the mural became not just a piece of art but also an expression of their collective identity and vision for their school environment.
The final artwork brought a dynamic, colorful presence to
the school. The process fostered a sense of pride and ownership among the students, and a reminder of the
power of collaboration and the positive impact of art in shaping communities.
