A commissioned artwork was created for Mantener, a restaurant in Barcelona whose identity is shaped by the diverse cultural influences and life experiences of its founders. The project included three interior murals, an exterior shutter intervention, and the design of a custom vinyl graphic for the glass entrance, creating a cohesive visual identity throughout the space.

Developed in collaboration with the project’s architect, the artwork draws inspiration from the countries and cultures that have influenced the owners’ journeys, including Dubai, Chile, Barcelona and Scotland. These references are reflected not only in the visual language of the project but also in the restaurant’s approach to food and cocktails.

The murals were conceived as different chapters of the dining experience. The entrance mural takes inspiration from ingredients, spices, cocktails and culinary preparation, celebrating the elements that shape the menu. In contrast, the upper-floor mural explores the sensory dimension of the experience, evoking aromas, smoke, sauces and movement through flowing forms and layered compositions.

Guided by the architectural concept, the colour palette creates a natural dialogue between art, interior design and branding. Together, the interventions transform the restaurant into a visual journey where culture, flavour and storytelling come together as part of a unified experience.
